Basker Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Who we are and what this covers
Basker is a bearded dragon care app provided by AzadStudio. Contact us about privacy, support or deletion at contact@azadstudio.net. This policy covers the Basker app and its connected services. The AzadStudio website has a separate privacy policy at https://azadstudio.net/privacy.
Basker is currently in development. Some builds store care information only on your device; cloud accounts, community features and subscriptions are available only where enabled. This policy explains the information involved when you use those features. Preview screens do not create real purchases or linked accounts.
2. Information you provide
Dragon profiles and care records: names, age stage, morph, sex, hatch or adoption dates, habitat details, schedules, task completion, weight and growth measurements, and notes you choose to enter. These are pet records; please do not put sensitive information about people in them.
Account information: when cloud accounts are enabled, we use an account identifier and the email address, display name and sign-in information provided through your selected authentication method. Guest cloud accounts also have an identifier. Apple or Google processes its own sign-in flow; Basker does not receive your Apple or Google password.
Community information: when you choose to use the community, your posts, comments, selected photos, display name and related interactions may be visible to other users. Reports, blocks and moderation information are used to manage safety. Do not post private information about yourself or others.
Support: if you contact us, we receive the information and attachments you send so that we can respond.
3. Technical information, purchases and notifications
Connected services process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as network addresses, request times, app or device information, errors and account identifiers.
When subscriptions are enabled, Apple or Google processes payment. RevenueCat processes your Basker account identifier, purchase history and subscription status to validate purchases and restore access. We do not receive your full payment-card details from the store.
Care reminders use your schedules and device time zone. Remote notifications, where enabled, use a device notification token associated with your account and notification preferences. You can disable notifications in device settings. Home Screen widgets use a limited local snapshot of the selected dragon’s name, care tasks and progress; anyone who can see your Home Screen may see that information.
4. Why we use information
We use information to save and display care records, provide account access and synchronization where enabled, schedule reminders, display widgets, operate community features, manage subscriptions, answer support requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. We do not use pet records to provide a veterinary diagnosis.
5. Service providers and sharing
We use Google Firebase services for enabled cloud authentication, database, file storage, server functions and remote notifications. We use RevenueCat for enabled subscription management and Apple or Google for store payments and sign-in you choose. These providers process information needed for their services under their applicable terms and privacy protections. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect safety or investigate abuse. Community content you publish is shared with its audience; it is not private account storage.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The current app does not include advertising, session-replay or optional analytics SDKs. Saving an analytics or marketing preference does not itself enable such tracking. If these practices change, we will update the policy and provide any notices or choices required before enabling them.
6. Permissions and your choices
Photo or camera access is requested only when you choose a feature that needs it. Notification permission is optional. You can change permissions in device settings and adjust available privacy or reminder preferences in Basker. Turning off a permission may limit the related feature. You can edit your dragon details and care records, and export supported health records. Sharing an export sends it to the destination you select.
7. Storage, retention and deletion
Local-only records remain on your device until you clear them, delete them in the app or remove the app. They are not a cloud backup and may be lost if the app or device is reset. Cloud records are kept while needed to provide your account and the features you use. You can request account deletion in Settings or contact contact@azadstudio.net. Account deletion removes the account and associated app records through our deletion process. Limited records may remain where needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention or transaction obligations, and provider backups follow their retention processes. Store purchase records are controlled by the store and may remain after account deletion. Deleting Basker or your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it through the store separately.
8. Security and international processing
We use access controls and service-provider security measures to protect information. No system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Cloud providers may process information in the United States and other countries, including outside your home country. Applicable safeguards and legal requirements govern those transfers.
9. Privacy rights and children
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing and withdraw consent. Contact contact@azadstudio.net; we may need to verify your request without collecting more information than necessary. You may also contact your local privacy regulator. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Basker is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided personal information so that we can investigate and address it.
10. Updates
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will receive any additional notice or consent required by law.
